Børsklubben

Are you interested in managing a fund on behalf of the school's students? Do you want to develop your interest in stocks? Could you see yourself pursuing a career in finance?

Børsklubben is a rich-in-tradition interest group that can point to several prominent former members in Norwegian business and industry. Børsklubben's main purpose is to help develop its members' knowledge of the stock market and finance. As a member of Børsklubben, you will gain insight into fundamental company analysis, present and discuss stock cases, and gain a solid understanding of the considerations involved in managing a substantial equity portfolio.

We can break Børsklubben's activities down into three rough main areas:

1. Børsklubben administers the investment company Investeringsklubben NHHS AS (IKNHHS). This is a fund of just over 5 million kroner, managed on behalf of students and organisations at NHH.
2. Børsklubben takes part in the Nordnet competition, in which stock groups from different colleges and universities compete to achieve the best possible return over the course of the school year. This competition is covered weekly in Finansavisen.
3. During the year we usually take a trip to London, as well as a trip to Oslo where we visit various financial institutions. In London we have visited, among others, Ako Capital and Bain Capital. In Oslo we mainly visit Norwegian brokerage firms.

We will get back to everyone with an interview time as the application deadline approaches. The interviews will take place from 01.09.

For the interview, candidates are expected to have prepared a stock pitch that can be presented in around 2–3 minutes. The format will mainly be a dialogue between the candidate and the interviewer. PowerPoint or similar presentation tools are not to be used.

We encourage everyone with an interest in stocks and finance to apply to Børsklubben. First- and second-year students are especially encouraged to apply and will be prioritised, but every student is encouraged to apply.
