NHHI Basketball

NHHI Basketball - Herrer was founded in 1968 and consists of around 20-30 players from all academic years, with different levels of experience. We train twice a week during the season, but we take a break during the exam period. Throughout the semester, we compete in NBBF Vestland 2M, which is the second division in our region, last year we finished in fifth place.  We usually participate in the student championships, and regularly set up practice games with clubs in Norway and internationally.

Over the past years the average athletic performances of the team members and the team as a whole have substantially improved. We aim to build on the team’s sporting success, which is why we conduct athletic tryouts. Basketball is a highly technical sport, and we welcome a diverse range of individuals to join us, regardless of height or experience. We are very fond of taking in international students who are here for an exchange semester or here for a longer time! We conduct practices in English, so there is no language barrier for international students.

Beyond the athletic aspect, we’re a highly social group that enjoys pre-parties, cabin trips, and travelling together abroad. If this sounds interesting to you, come to our tryouts!
